12 April 2008 - We set foot on Palau Ubin
It was a sunny sat morning. we met at 8.30 (erm 8.45 cos i was late) to take the train down East. The journey was much shorter than expected, perhaps because we got each other's company. settled breakfast at Changi V and off we took the bum boat to Ubin. hoho. Upon reaching, we walked around and rented our bicycles. Ours were at $10 each for the whole day! $10 only! lol. So we cycled and cycled. walked and walked. explored and explored. sweated and sweated. Very nice place i must say. With reference to Photo 1, the skies turned dark after a short while we reached. soon, it started to rain quite heavily. so we settled down for some drinks and for the rain to subside a little before we continue cycling. cycling in the rain again! grr. but i wasnt pek cek this time round. in fact, it's more cooling too. haha. the rocky slopes are really scary. i really thought i will fall from my bicycle any time but luckily i didnt. ha. i am a pro now. we walked up a slope and came to the quarry at photo 6-9. that seok super hiong. he went over the railings and walked down and even took a photo! ha. everything he do, also super hiong.
the one and only full group photo of us. there is 1 more but i refused to put because the guys took the photo with another motive.. hahah. someone got weak climbing up the viewing tower i wont say who.
Overall, it was a splendid trip. We left at around 4plus and quickly get to Bedok food centre and ate like hungry ghosts. all the calories burnt during the trip went down the drain.
Very sad, i am going back to work tomorrow. i should get to sleep soon. Great weekend all.!
