2/11/2008 12:35:00 AM Photo updated ![]() On board TR102 @ 0630. ![]() Room 619. thats our 'home' for the 5days. Tadah. our room. from left: KL, RY and mine. at the lobby. ![]() second morning. after breakfast at the lobby with Mak. the hotel lobby which looks exactly the same as in the website. ![]() ![]() taken at the lobby before we left for chatuchak. seeing joanne and alan after many many months. the one and only group photo we took at Chatuchak. oh btw, the cab fare for 7 of us only costs 200 bahts!!! hahaha.and the next morning, sunday, we girls decided to go Chatuchak again. having ice mocha for a break. my companions. we are damn 'tourist' while taking this photo. haha. 60 Bahts Ice Mocha tastes really yummy. ![]() after a long day before we took our shower. do you like my 50 bahts top? hahaha. i bought this for my ah ma lahh! we didnt dare to try the food at the roadside stalls. the only food we bought. ![]() nice nice nice. or perhaps because i'm hungry? ![]() niceeeeeee. food i mean. and we loveee to snap snap at our room too. mak said i got a constipated look in this. haha blur pic i likeee. hahaha. ![]() ![]() having a cuppa coffee at Black Canyon and chatting away... On the fourth night, also our last night in Bkk, we made a reservation to go to Breeze, a restaurant located in State Tower. The moment we alighted from the taxi, we were treated like a super VIP. i am not exaggerating! the locals even thought we are Thais. hahaha. So we were ushered to the lift lobby, took the lift up to the 52nd storeys, had our cocktail drink inside their lounge area before we proceeded to our table for dinner. i know i am sua ku but this is the first time i experienced such great service. ![]() the view we see from the lounge area. this is a little blur without flash. the whole lounge area was dimly lit, very very romantic feeling. waiting for my passion fruit martini. and so we proceeded to our table for dinner. the dining area was al fresco. very windy, very out of ordinary feel. ![]() the magnificent view from up above. the security guard refused to take photos for us so we can only take turns to take photos until a fellow sporean came over. ![]() ong and mak. ![]() me and ong. ![]() the nice sporean who took this photo for us. ![]() the only photo we took at our table. look at our hair and you will know how windy it was. ![]() outside the restaurant's lobby. the nice waitress even asked us to go up to the highest level (i think it was 64?) to take a look. we finally know why after we went up. the wind was like X20 times stronger when we were at the 52nd level. the bar looks nice too but we didnt take any photo because the wind was really really really strong. If if if i got the chance, I'd really love to go back again. really! Then it's about time we say byebye to State Tower. ![]() ![]() ![]() at the lobby before we went back to our hotel. 29 Jan 2008. had our daily breakfast at the coffee house and back to our room to pack our luggage. look what we've done. some snapping before we say byes to 619. ![]() Byebye Baiyoke. i will miss you. it was a great trip overall. - kenna KA within the first hour we reached BKK. hahaha. our taxi fare to hotel costs 3 times more than Joanne and Alan? hahahahaha. - the boutique hotel we booked was considered cheap and good. good location for shopping as most areas are accessible by foot. - the bed was comfy. i had no problems falling asleep for the 4 nights there. poor mak and ong. haha. - we tried their full body massage. OUCH. painful. but shiok. - we encountered a scary taxi ride. tsktsk. i can vividly still rem that disgusting driver's look. tmd. almost got KA again but luckily we hitch another taxi back to the hotel. - we did manicure. the 'sisters' were damn friendly and it freaked me out after some time. but i loved my mani. and it was done by a MAN. haha. for 120 bahts only lor. (if you wanna know how much, you can divide by 22.83). sooo cheappp and much nicer than spore's. - i had shark's fin and bird nest at Chinatown. maybe my expectation was raised so i was quite disappointed. my mom's bird nest definitely tastes nicer. - we thought we bought alot of things but in the end, i realised i didnt buy alot. :( - the locals are generally quite friendly. i like. their girls can be quite pretty too. - nope we didnt try any tuktuk ride, for the safety of our lives. haha. - the air is realllllly polluted there. - their traffic jams are really horrible. - their drivers are all very hiong. VERY! as i'm typing this entry, i realised i am missing BKK already. maybe we can go back again next yr? we've got quite a sum of Bahts left too. Natas fair coming up soon. mak, ok? i really intend to save money. but i am in a dilemma at times. because we dont know what will happen the next min, so we should cherish and enjoy life to the max isn't it? i really wanna travel round the world if i can... this may not be a good year to change job because of the unstable economy. sighs. i'm gonna get stuck here. i took more than a hour for this entry. i should be in bed soon. nights all. :D |
